The Isle of Man is also known as Ellan Vannin, Mona or Mann and we are a self-governing British Crown Dependency in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. As head of state, Charles III holds the title Lord of Mann and is represented by a Lieutenant Governor.
Worldwide we are known for the TT races which are held in June, The Great Laxey Wheel, the tailless Manx cat and our four horned rare breed sheep called Loaghtan, meaning mouse brown.
We have steam trains and electric trams.
