"Delightfully Manx" by Ronald S Ely is a fictional story telling of the way things were for families in the Isle of Man in the late 1890's and early 1900's.
I just received this book and began to read it. I find it a delightful combination of a light and breezy story that is filled with passing references to the way life worked in the late 1890s and early 1900s - which, as an American-born son of the Isle - is exactly what I was looking for. I am curious about what living on the Isle was like for my forebears. I consider this to be a great find.
